Impact Next Gen (ING) Donation #19 @ Akropong Community Library, Eastern Region

The 36 laptops donated by Wadsworth Fields Primary school in Nottingham and Mr Gerry Quarshie and reading books from other donors arrived in the Akropong Community Library in the Eastern Region of Ghana on the 22/10/2025. The Akropong Community Library was chosen because the environment is secure and has electricity to power the laptops. The laptops were presented to the people of that community during the annual Odwira durbar for the Kronti-Hene of Akropong on Sat 1/11/2025.

On 07/02/2025, The Okuapeman Tech Hub project was launched in Akropong, Eastern Region of Ghana, with the following schools present: Akropong M/A, Akropong Presby Primary, Presbyterian College of Education Primary, Akropong Anglican JHS.

Impact Next Gen has formulated a technology curriculum for the community where the youth and adults can acquire Basic Digital literacy and Technology coding skills with a focus on E-commerce (Mobile/Web) Apps, AI, Blockchain and Quantum Computing. The technology curriculum has also been shared with Rural Tech Hub in Wa (www.yisontechhub.com) where similar courses can be offered to youth and adults.

Many schools in Rural Ghana lack laptops for their ICT labs. Anyone who can help with used laptops for donation, should please contact us on impactnxtgen@gmail.com to progress this further. With the support of our donors, Impact Next Gen seeks to establish Rural Tech Hubs across Ghana empowering youth and adults with Technology education/training to spearhead a technological revolution in Rural Ghana.

A massive thanks to Wadsworth Fields Primary school in Nottingham (UK), Mr Gerry Quarshie, Mrs Harriet Pettifer, OSAHENE Boafo Ansah, Kronti-Hene of Akropong, Nana Kofi, Reverend Bruce and Thomas Dankwah for the Okuapeman Tech Hub Initiative.
